Formulation Scientist

Profile

You will carry out formulation development of controlled-release solid oral dose drug delivery technologies from initial research to Phase I and Phase II clinical development.

As a team member, your role will include:

Experimental design for drug formulation strategy
Executing experiments, and deciding next steps based on results
Participate in a multi disciplinary team to plan and execute the formulation development, optimisation, and scale-up of novel dosage forms
Compliance with cGMP, environmental and safety legislation

Requirements

The preferred candidate will hold a relevant qualification and have hands on experience in solid oral dosage formulation, with a minimum of 3 years in a commercial research environment
Be self-motivated, with a sound knowledge of pharmaceutical formulation and design
An excellent team member, with an ability to work on your own initiative in order to achieve the team's goals
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Working knowledge of formulation process equipment, including but not limited to, tablet presses, granulators and coating machines
Experience with product evaluation, product license requirements, and cGMP quality standards
